3-1/2 oz red
3-1/2 oz purple

Crochet hook size I/9 (5.50mm)
Small amount felt:
Red, White, Blue, Yellow
53 inches of 1/4-inch-wide white elastic
Fiberfill
Glue
Yarn Needle
GAUGE - 3 sc = 1 inch; 3 sc rnds = 1 inch
BODY
Note: Make 16 large circles, 4 each of red, yellow, blue and purple.
Rnd 1: Ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3, work 15 dc in ring, join. (16)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as ch-3, work 2 dc in each rem st around, join. (32)
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st as ch-3, ch 2, (sc in next st, ch 2) rep around, join, fasten off.
Weave in loose end.
ARMS AND LEGS
Note: Make 64 small circles, 16 each of red, yellow, blue and purple.
Rnd 1: Rep Rnd 1 of body. (16)
Rnd 2: Rep rnd 3 of body.
HEAD
Rnd 1: With white yarn, ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join. (10)
Note: Work in back lps only for remainder of head.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc in each st around, join. (20)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
Rnd 4: Sc around, inc 10 sc evenly sp around, join. (30)

Rnds 7-10: Rep Rnd 3
Rnd 11: Ch 1, sc around, dec 10 sc evenly sp around, join. (30)

Stuff head firmly with fiberfill. Weave rem length of yarn through rem sts, pull to close and secure.
HANDS (made 2)
Rnd 1: With white yarn, ch 3, join to form a ring, ch 1, 8 sc in ring, join. (8)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, working in back lps for this rnd only, sc around, join.

With rem length of yarn, sew opening closed.
FEET (make 2)
Rnd 1: With white yarn, ch 6, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 chs, 3 sc in last ch, working on opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 3 chs, sc in same ch as first 2 sts, join. (12)

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join, fasten off blue yarn, attach white yarn.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st as ch-1, ch 2, (sc in next st, ch 2) rep around, join, fasten off.
ARM & LEG RUFFLES (make 4)
Rnd 1: With blue yarn, ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3, 15dc in ring, join. (16)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as ch-3, (3 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) rep around, join, fasten off blue yarn, attach white yarn. (40)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as ch-1, h 2, (sc in next st, ch 2) rep around, join, fasten off.
FINISHING
Elastic
Cut 9 inches of elastic for body. Cut 12 inches elastic for each leg. Cut 10 inches elastic for each arm. Tie body elastic to bottom of head. Place collar on first; then, alternating colors in order of yellow, purple, red and blue, push all body circles onto body.
*Attach foot to bottom of leg elastic. Place ruffle on elastic first; then, alternating in order (yellow, purple, red and blue) 5 times, place leg circles into leg elastic. Secure leg elastic to bottom of body. Rep from *once for 2nd leg.
*Attach hand to bottom of arm elastic. Place ruffle on elastic first; then, alternating in order (yellow, purple, red and blue) 3 times, place arm circles onto arm elastic. Secure arm elastic to body elastic between collar and first yellow body circle. Rep from * once for 2nd arm.
Hair
Hair is worked in rem free lp of fhead over top, sides and back of head. Attach blue yarn to rem free lp of head, (ch 12, sc in next free lp) rep over top, sides and back of head.
Facial Features
Pupils - Cut 2 circles (size of a dime or a teeny bit smaller) from white felt.
Eyes - Cut 2 circles (size of a nickle) from blue felt.
Nose - Cut 1 circle (size of a nickle) from red felt.
Eyelashes - Cut 4 small triangles from yellow felt. (I never use these.)
Mouth - Cut one shape of stretched out boomerang with circle at each end from red felt.
Glue to face.
